Day 12 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Stripes

stripes2.1
The rain has stopped so it's time for me to do my nails!
Vintage nail design, very feminine, very soft. I so love this!
stripes4.1
I used Caress Baby Pink. It's a bright ink colour so I added drops of the Caress Diamond grey to tame it a little. Outcome: I like!

I used acrylic paints for the stripes, and the roses.

It's the 11th day now!

Im kind of lazy today so I just had to do a very simple yet pretty design for the challenge.  I used a franken nail polish that is more of a taupe color.  For the dots, I used Caronia Satin White,  OMG! Oh My Golly Black Out and Caronia's Colorless as the top coat.

Day 8 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Metallic Nails

day 8.2.1
I know it's been, what, 3-4 days since I last posted a blog for the nail art challenge. I'ts been horrible! Had issues with my internet connection, then I had problems with my computer, lost some files and the list goes... But I was able to do my nails but not post them.
Here it is, Day 8 of the challenge - Metallic Nails.
I use OMG Oh My Golly's  Gold Digger as my base colour. As you can see, it's metallic gold and OMG Oh My Golly's Black Out as the top colour for the Saran Wrap technique.
day8.1
This design is really easy to do.
-Let your base color dry
-Apply a thick coat of your top color and immediately dab a small crumpled piece of Saran wrap or Cling wrap gently to remove some of the top color.
-Let dry a little.
-Apply your favorite top coat.
Hope you guys like this design.

Day 6 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Violet Nails

Today, Im going to show you Violet Nails.

The color is more of a dark violet. I just thought of the design because it is simple and easy to make.
VIOLET2.1

The nail polish looks a bit darker in the picture that in actual.

I used OMG My Golly!  and white acrylic paint for the lace details. Instead of using a dotting tool, I used my detailing brush to put the dots on the violet.

So that's Day 6. Im so excited to show you my design for Day 7!

Day 5 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Blue Nails

Here's Day 5! Blue nails today, baby!
Okay, today, I used a white nail polish from Caronia as a base. I like it because it doesnt look like it's a Wite Out or Correction Fluid white, you know what I mean, right? Then, I used a light blue nail polish then dabbed a little acrylic paint of a darker blue shade to give dimension to it.
BLUE1.1
As you can see, I put some grey details underneath the clouds to make it look like 3Dish but Im not so sure if I pulled it off. What do you think?
BLUE3.1
I used acrylic paint to do the clouds and a grey Caress nail polish to do the dimension.
Here are the rest of the photos.

Day 4 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Green Nails

Hi everyone!

Im back with the Day 4 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge!

Today, Im going to show you Green Nails of the challenge.

As of today, the Typhoon Maring ( international name Trami) has gone and we're all happy that everything is going back to normal. I also feel for those who have been affected by the floods, landslides and the likes. I hope and pray that they will stand up and rise again soon.

So, here goes the green nails.
green2.1
As you can see, these are slices of a kiwi fruit. I was thinking of something fresh that is why I came up with this.
green4.1
I started with this apple green based that is so not opaque so I have to do 4 coats of the Caress Apple Green nail polish ( local brand ). It is a frosted nail polish so you can definitely see some shine.
green1.1

I painted the seeds and the core using acrylic paints. I put a blob of paint in the center then drew as many lines from the blob outwards to create the effect of the core.

green3.1

Then I put lots and lots of black dots in between the lines to make the seeds. I let the paint dry for about 10 minutes then sealed the design with a Caronia top coat and that's it!
What do you think of this design?
Watch out for the 5th Challenge!
I will soon create an FB page, twitter, pinterest and tumblr accounts soon so please visit again.

Day 3 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Yellow Nails

Im again back with Day 3 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge!

At work and it's gloomy outside. It's been raining for about 3 days now. We've been having storm in different parts of the country so I really hope that everyone stays safe. Hopefully we wont get inundated just like Ondoy or Typhoon Ketsana back in 2009 and Monsoon Habagat in 2012. It was really devastating to see what's going on around me during and after the floods. Well anyway, I think the rain has stopped a little so that's a good sign, right?

Going back to business, Day 3 is Yellow Nails.

Remember on my last post, I talked about the yellow nail polish I used for the gradient effect for my Orange nails? This is it!

So I used OMG Oh My Golly Banana Boat as my base color. This is not a flashy yellow so I love it. I am really not a fan yellow nail lacquers but I like this one.

As you will notice, OMG Oh My Golly Banana Boat is not quite opaque so probably next time I use this, Ill apply 3 coats instead to achieve the right coverage.

I thought of the design because I'm longing to see the sun again. This reminds me of summer, really cannot say spring because we don't have the season anyway.

Daisies - because they look so delicate and fresh and they're easy to paint!

I used a bright yellow paint for the flowers' pistils and dabbed a little BK Leopard Gold on it so that it would stand out a little. Then, I used white and grey acrylic paints for the petals.

I used my Galaxy phone's camera to take this pic.

So that's Day 3! Hope you're inspired to recreate this. Watch out for Day 4 - Green Nails!

See yah! ♥

Day 2 of 31-Day Nail Art Challenge : Orange Nails

Hi lovelies!
Im back with Day 2 of the 31-Day Nail Art Challenge.
Today, I will show you a really nice design. I thought of doing this design inspired by nature. When I was young, I love to play in the garden, watch butterflies flutter around.

I used yet another local brand, Bobbie, OMG, and Caronia. I missed out on getting the names of the shades but I'll update my blog when I get them. Im just a little busy right now because it's my son's birthday today, I'm in  the office working, I'm an hour behind tmy schedule, and the list goes on and on...

On with the show.

Bobbie is cream based though it's not so opaque that is why I had to add several drops of white nail polish to it to make it a little brighter.

The yellow polish I used is, of course, a local brand, OMG Oh My Golly! It's a light shade of yellow so I thought that this would be perfect for the gradient technique i used in this design. I might also use the same shade for the yellow nails challenge.

Then I used an apple green shade of Caronia, a local brand, for the lush green grass but has ofcourse been covered by the grassy plains and cute flowers.

I used acrylic paint for the rest of the designs. I really think that acrylic paints would bring out the best in your designs. I opt to use it because they are easy to work with.

Since I was thinking of a late afternoon relaxing moment in the garden with my mom, dad and sisters, I decided to use orange and yellow that represents the said time of the day and light green which signifies the fresh grasses as the background.

What do you think of my design?

Would you want to recreate it? Please show me your masterpiece, okay?
